Forget the Rangers. You guys should be worrying about the Dead Wings snagging first overall this draft.

The season is still young and the lottery is random, watch Edmonton miss the playoffs by 2 points and win it again

If you look at goal differential it's not even close. Detroit is the hands on favourite to finish last in the league by a significant margin. Detroit and LA will finish 1-2 at the bottom.

Tankathon uses a %ppg in ranking teams for the draft lottery odds.

With the unfortunate win last night the Sens have dropped to 4th on the Tankathon list.

But cheer up, the Sharks have now moved up to 2nd place overall.

It will be an exciting race to the finish. Nice to have two horses going for us.

Once the Devils deal Hall I'm sure they be in "this" race also with our great goal-tending

Just let Detroit have the number one pick and you guys can have 2 and 3.

Only as long as you promise to leave Lafreniere and byfield for 2 and 3

I would love to see Sens get Lafrenière and Byfield.

However, this is a remarkable draft. Raymond, Holtz and Perfetti may also have elite potential. There is a Russian goalie ranked #6, some claim he is the best prospect since Montreal drafted Price. You have to go to the 10-15 range before you find Rossi and he is tearing through the OHL.

Enough to say Sens are going to get two very good prospects.

IF the sharks continue their poor play and dont pull off a St:Louis OTT will have 2 top 5 picks in 2020, their most likely to get 1 or 2 more 1st rounders before the trade deadline too.

If they get either Lafreniere or Byfield its a win IMO both are franshise players in the Mathews category.

I'm not sure any of the players Ottawa has to offer at the deadline are worth a 1st. But I could certainly see Ottawa winding up with a bevy of second rounders.

Pageau will fetch a late 1st if he’s made available. Tierney could be also if he keeps producing, and who the hell knows what Namestikov will fetch if he keeps producing at like a 0.8ppg pace.

Hard to say because we all the guy, but Pageau should be shopped leading up the deadline. His value will never be higher and so many teams would want a guy like him

Guy is +15 on this team !!!

I would not trade Pageau. My judgement is impaired, he has always been a favourite of mine. Somebody needs to be the face that takes the heat for the on ice struggles. Kids are not ready to take the hot heat that comes from failure. Pageau, Borowiecki, Hainsey and a few others are doing a great job of offering up an insulating barrier.

he genuinely seems like one of those guys we could flip at the deadline for a good return, and then easily bring back as a UFA in the offseason if so desired.

i think i read that his wife just began working at a law firm in Ottawa or something, so she won't be in a hurry to leave the city.........might be worth looking into

Pag needs to be traded if the return is good. This is a business and you don’t build around 3rd liners who get hot for a couple of games. Get some assets from GMs likely to overpay. His numbers are slightly inflated for playing on a garbage team. Similar to Brown.

If you can trade him and bring him back at a reasonable deal, then that is fine. Don’t let a little hot streak distract you for the main goal.
